Understated Elegance: Princess Mary

Way before Kate Middleton stole the limelight from the world, I was already drawn to the beauty of Princess Mary of Denmark. Don't get me wrong, I love Kate Middleton's style and she has one of the best smiles ever, but in many ways it seems to me that Princess Mary is the pioneer of modern understated elegance.

At 40 and with four children Princess Mary still looks as beautiful as she was when she first got married to her prince. I still remember seeing their wedding photos all over tabloids magazines when I was 13! In  a recent interview she said "I think it is nice to get older. I don’t think about my physical age," - I guess thats her secret to staying young!

Its hard to decide who I like best, Kate or Mary. I guess they have so many similarities and hey, no one said you can't have more than one style icon right? No? (hahaha imitating my Italian macroeconomics teacher here)
